Choosing your strand

  • Selection: Entry, Advanced and Collector are the maker's three grades, from the most affordable to the finest. All are the same coconut calyx; higher grades are generally denser and more even in tone, with fewer natural spots and markings. The maker does not publish exact grading criteria.
  • Bead size: 6 mm (33 beads plus 3 spare), 7 mm (28 plus 2), 8 mm (26 plus 2) or 9 mm (24 plus 1).

Material & origin

Each listing states the material, origin and measurements of the piece. Natural materials vary — grain, colour, flecks and markings make every piece one of a kind; they are character, not flaws.

Bead size

Bead size is the width of one bead, in millimetres. Larger beads look bolder and feel heavier in the hand; smaller ones are lighter and quieter. Our size guide shows each size side by side.

Care & patina

Handle often, with clean and dry hands. Keep away from water, perfume, lotion and strong sun. Let new wood rest a day or two each week while the patina settles, and wipe with a soft cotton cloth — never oil or polish.

Shipping & returns

Shipping is free within the contiguous US: the 48 mainland states and Washington, DC. We can't yet deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

US import duties are included in the price, so you don't pay them. If a carrier ever asks you for import charges, contact us and we will refund them.
