Monkey head walnut shell carved into the classic shark-back bead, a rounded form with a high curved ridge. The maker states the beads are not soaked in chemicals, so they turn red only slowly, through handling.

Choosing your bracelet

  • Bead size: 10 or 11 mm, or 12, 13 or 14 mm; the smaller and larger sizes are cut from two different sources of shell.

Bead size

Bead size is the width of one bead, in millimetres. Larger beads look bolder and feel heavier in the hand; smaller ones are lighter and quieter. Our size guide shows each size side by side.

Care & patina

Handle often, with clean and dry hands. Keep away from water, perfume, lotion and strong sun. Let new wood rest a day or two each week while the patina settles, and wipe with a soft cotton cloth — never oil or polish.

Shipping & returns

Shipping is free within the contiguous US: the 48 mainland states and Washington, DC. We can't yet deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or APO/FPO/DPO addresses.

US import duties are included in the price, so you don't pay them. If a carrier ever asks you for import charges, contact us and we will refund them.
