A pair of whole hand walnuts with thick, bold ridges, eight of which meet at the top. The maker lists them as from an original, ungrafted tree and says the two walnuts weigh the same. Each walnut measures about 41 × 38 × 39 mm (edge, belly and height), as listed by the maker.

This is one specific pair, the maker's no. B382. Hand walnuts are turned in the palm, and with handling they darken and take on a soft shine.
