Nephrite Jade

Bracelets and pendants of nephrite jade, the jade with the longest history in China.

About the material

Two different stones are sold as jade: nephrite and jadeite. Nephrite is tough and fine-grained, made mostly of the mineral tremolite. It has a soft, waxy glow rather than a glassy shine, and it has been carved and worn in China for thousands of years.

Our pieces include white, pale green, soft pink and gradient bead bracelets, and small carved pendants. Each listing states where the stone comes from, as given by the maker.

Jade needs no oil and no polish. Wear it against the skin, take it off for sport and housework, and wipe it with a soft cloth. A jade bracelet is often given as a quiet wish for someone's safety.
